Taormina Mare Villa
Spectacular venue whose life began in the 1950s as a hidden hideaway. Perched on an idyllic stretch of Sicilian coast, this former villa oozes glamour and old-world charm. There’s something special in the air—relaxing in such magical surroundings gives new meaning to the phrase ‘la dolce vita’.
A stay at the Villa feels like reconnecting with long lost friends as the owners preserve the personality of an elegant private residence: you’ll be greeted with freshly-made Sicilian sweet treats in-room on arrival, and alfresco breakfasts offer a bounty of hand-picked local fruit. It’s these little details that will help you sink into a world of calm, as soothing as the sound of the ocean. Balconies are bejeweled with bright geraniums, and lush terraced gardens lead down to the picturesque pebbled beach.
The Villa is equipped with 71 elegant rooms.
The bays here are rich with enchanting caves to discover and beautiful little islands to explore. A thin strip of sand connects the beach to Isola Bella. Walk across and visit the nature reserve or enjoy the solitude of its rocky beaches. The Ionian Sea is rejuvenating. Bobbing sailboats add to the heavenly feel of the place.
Set apart from the private beach, there’s also an exclusive stretch housing six luxury cabanas. With sun-loungers and shaded sofas, they make lovely little hideaways. Should you prefer your water a little warmer, the heated infinity pool is irresistible. Enjoy the sweeping sea views as the sun sinks below the horizon.
Come evening, make the most of the surroundings by dining on the terrace. Or let us arrange private dinner on the beach—musicians will sail across the bay just to serenade you.
The Restaurant serves regional dishes that allow local ingredients to shine. Let the Chef dazzle your taste buds with his fish cous cous and many more delicious creations. The Sommelier knows the perfect wines to pair them with.
He recently won best sommelier in Italy and has an encyclopedic knowledge of the excellent regional wines. Don’t leave, of course, without trying Chef’s pastries. The cannoli—a local delicacy made with sheep’s milk ricotta—are little mouthfuls of heaven.
After dinner, head to our open-air piano bar and relax to the sound of timeless music. With the sea lapping at the shore, there’s no dance floor quite like it. Cocktail in hand, dance the night away as the stars twinkle overhead.
If you’ve always yearned for a wedding overlooking crystalline waters, the villa couldn’t be more perfect.
The former aristocratic residence, surrounded by dazzling gardens, sits on its own private pebble beach in Taormina Mare. It gazes out over the bay of Mazzarò, one of the most beautiful coastline in Sicily.
Say your vows beside the water and continue the festivities with a vibrant Sicilian barbecue, or move up to the terrace for a fabulous feast overlooking the sea.
