Grinzane Cavour Castle

Here is a perfect place to get married in the spectacular Langhe: Grinzane Cavour Castle. This charming manor is located in the highest part of the country, overlooking the hills.
From here the gaze is lost on the langarole countryside and on the infinite rows of vineyards. The castle unique profile is visible from all the Langa del Barolo: it is one of the places to visit for anyone who passes in this area of Piedmont.
The hall dedicated to civil weddings is the “Sala delle Maschere” (The Hall of Masks) with its fine wooden ceiling built in 1547 (Architectural Period 11th Century).

Grinzane Cavour Castle is located in one of the most striking scenery of the Langa, just 5 km away from Alba. The magnificent manor, built around the central tower of the first half of the 11th century, can be admired in all its beauty, thanks to the restorations begun in 1960, on the occasion of the first centenary of the Unity of Italy. It has a quadrilateral plant with a high tower, houses the Piedmont Cavour Regional Wine Shop, first in the region, and the two museums: Museum with Cavour memorabilia and an Ethnographic Museum.

In its halls you can admire truffle-like outfits, rare objects of local food and wine, setting of the Alba cuisine of the 16th and 1800s, distillery of the 18th century as well as antique furniture, manuscripts, and the Mayor’s Official attire that belonged to the Count Cavour.
