The Castle stands on a promontory at the foot of Mount Resegone, overlooking Manzoni’s famous “branch of Lake Como,” and overlooks the picturesque medieval village of Rossino, a fraction of Calolziocorte (Lecco)
The same Alessandro Manzoni was so fascinated that he that he set at Castle the home of the Unnamed in his novel The Betrothed.
It is a complex building of medieval origin, surrounded by walls and it is believed to have been built before the thirteenth century.
Today, within its historic walls, it hosts events, gala dinners and wedding receptions.
